Therapy (Counseling)

Our approach is systemic, relational, and based on the understanding that each client, couple, and family is unique. You are "experiencing and becoming" within a unique set of circumstances, a system, which has shaped who you are thus far. There is no one-size-fits-all formula for your concerns. Yet, having an understanding of your particular system can bring clarity to many of your current concerns. As you gain insight and a fresh perspective through the therapeutic process, you will grow and change and strive toward the maximum potential for yourself and your relationships.

Particularly important for couples therapy is the understanding that your relationship is the client and we are passionate about strengthening the client. We will listen carefully with compassion, allowing each of you a voice, and WE WILL NOT take sides. We are on the side of your relationship and are here to help both individuals take ownership of it, draw upon its inner resources, and rediscover its goals and purpose.

We will use an integrative approach of various methodologies and techniques depending on need and purpose of counseling, such as Gottman, emotionally-focused, narrative, solution-focused, and forgiveness therapy. The methods and techniques used will depend on what works with your particular beliefs, values and needs.
